Malinalco

About 99 km southwest of the city, in the State of Mexico. The temple is cut straight into the rock face, and the old town below is the other half of the trip — chapels, a market, ordinary Mexican life rather than a monument.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 17:00, closed Mondays. Entry is $155 pesos, or $85 with Mexican residency.
